Booking is now open for the ALT West Midlands regional group meeting at the Aston University on Tuesday 16th of October.
The meeting will be held at Aston University and hosted by Adam Warren (Teaching Fellow in Technology Enhanced Learning).
The topic of this meeting is: Working Together to Design Modules.
This meeting will be an opportunity to share and discuss the processes that we use to engage with academic staff when helping them design modules and activities that make good use of learning technologies. What works well in your institution? What have you tried that was not successful? The format will be a series of short 10-minute presentations followed by round-table discussions under Chatham House rules, allowing us to dig into some of the challenges and hopefully find some innovative solutions. There will also be a longer activity based on the ABC Learning Design method developed by UCL and now extensively used at Aston.
Registration is free, but places are limited, so dont miss this opportunity.
We invite you to contribute by proposing a presentation, discussion or other activity of your choice to engage participants on this topic. To register your interest in giving a session, get in touch with John (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Libby Symonds email@example.com). Please provide a title, a very short description, and outline whether the session would be a presentation (5 or 10mins), activity, or discussion.
