We now have a site-wide licence for Camtasia Studio – a piece of software that can be used to produce videos, screencasts and interactive learning objects. This tool is easy to use and can produce really professional looking materials which you can make available to your students through the VLE and can support a “flipped classroom” type approach to teaching and learning.
We will be running an introductory workshop on Wednesday 13th May, 13.45 – 15.45 which you can sign up for via the staff development booking system which will cover all the basics of using Camtasia but in the meantime if you want to try using this yourself the software is available for you to install from the software centre on your networked PC – see attached instructions. If you have any problems with installing the software please log a job on the ICT Service Desk https://servicedesk.worc.ac.uk/ServiceCenter/ .
If you’d like to find out more about Camtasia and how you can use it in your learning and teaching please take a look at their website https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html . They also have an extensive set of video tutorials which will help you get started https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-camtasia-8.html .
For any questions about using the software or to book a tutorial or team training session please firstname.lastname@example.org.
